While having a walk at a forest somewhere around Wuppertal, I found that screech owl baby (german: junges Käuzchen) sitting around very (too?) near the path. We (some friends of mine and me) started to discuss, why the hell the bird was sitting that near to the path a.s.o. Discussion topics: Is this bird hurted, harmed, strange, funny or just mentally disranged? Some of us started to call misc. people (like hunters) with their cell phone, my friend Eliseo started to check his offline-wikipedia at his cell phone.
Strange situation in the middle of a forest, but 2007 everything seems to be possible...
At last wikipedia made it: this screech owl baby was just doin' its job, sitting around at dawn near its nest.
Go on, little screech owl! :)
